A surreal moment

Last night I ran across this picture of Traci and her family (Beneath my Heart), and it struck me that in a few short years, my family could look like this!

Of course, there's a 50/50 chance that it could look four-fifths like that and then the final fifth could be a girl, but I didn't go scouring the Internet to find you a picture of that family.

In this stage of the pregnancy, I'm excited on the inside but can't really show it on the outside because I'm feeling so crummy. But I really AM filled with anticipation about welcoming our new family member, and the boys are even more excited than I am. It's so sweet. I can't wait until I feel well enough to have a little mini-celebration every day.

Speaking of feeling better, I have a little Blogger's Guilt because I have a DESIRE to write a post every day -- and make it a good one -- but I don't have the ABILITY to do it right now. I have like 15 or 16 posts in draft form, really just with a title and a line or two about what I want to write, but I'm not attempting any of them right now. I'd rather wait and then write them when I can do them justice. Something to look forward to, I hope!

Today is Grayson's birthday, so I want to wish him a very happy one! He's been picking up a lot of slack around here over the past five weeks, and I'm lucky to have him. Happy birthday, honey!

RDH, welcome. I subscribe to your blog. :)

Rachel, I didn't know you read Christi's blog. Fun! No, I didn't remember that you're moving, although you probably mentioned it.

Please, please, please tell me that you are going to find out the sex of the baby (babies?!?) and then pass it along to your faithful readers pronto! I know that either way... and that frankly, I don't even know you and your family... but the suspense is killing me!

Give yourself some freedom. It was hard for me when I was pregnant, but I did it - I went from posting once a day to posting every one-and-a-half days - on approximately a 9am, 3pm schedule.

(Because I know you can appreciate my analness)

Anyway, all that to say, it was great!! It was easier to write, and I didn't feel the pressure along with the pukeys.

And now I can't imagine writing every day again - when I do, it seems too often!

Natalie, FIVE BOYS? Oh my goodness! I can't imagine how busy you are, but also how loved. :)

Martha, we are definitely finding out and will definitely share the news! Won't be til sometime in May.

Meredith, thanks so much. I hope to feel better soon!

ML, thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll come back.

Rachel, I know my posting schedule is something I impose upon myself, so I'm trying to give myself the freedom to deviate. It's hard. :) Working on "breaking those chains."
