Amelia's superheroes

When you have your own set of superheroes

watching over every breath you take

it's nearly impossible

 
to imagine a time in your life

 when there won't be a hand

or two

or three

to pick you up when you fall.

Even though when they're unmasked

and it's revealed that they're "just boys"

I know that in her heart of hearts

they will always, ALWAYS

be superheroes to her.
