Uncomfortable truths, vol. 41

-->
1. Whenever I hear one of those cell phone ringtones that starts out quiet but the longer it rings, the louder it gets, I get totally stressed out. I can't imagine how anyone can function with the possibility of a phone ringing in that fashion at any time. I mean, ring on level 8 twice and I'll answer you immediately. Ring on levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 before I hear you, on levels 5, 6 and 7 while I scramble to find you, and on levels 8 and 9 until I can answer you ... that's a recipe for a heart attack. Ten times a day.

2. Using my blinker makes me feel superior. I could write more than one sentence about it, but that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

3. When we went to South Carolina for Christmas, we stayed in a hotel near Grayson's sister and brother-in-law's house. When Grayson made the reservations, he chose a room with two queen-sized beds instead of one king ... as a Christmas gift to me. Wheeee! Best Christmas gift ever!

4. When I don't have an "s" in Words with Friends, the fear that my opponent DOES have one is almost paralyzing.

5. I did some major purging of Christmas ornaments this year. I threw away some ornaments I've had for years ... including two nativity ornaments. Have you ever thrown anything featuring the likeness of the baby Jesus on it in the trash? It took me three days to actually move them from a pile in the den to the trashcan. I may be scarred for life.
