Internet roundup

First, three things:

1. Tonight my friend Melanie and I are driving up to Nashville to meet The Stalkers! We are so excited and can't wait to spend time with them tomorrow. I'll have a post to share next week about our adventure, and I'm sure I'll be Tweeting quite a bit over the weekend. Stalkers FTW!

Oh, and if any other Nashville readers want to get together while we're there, email me or Tweet me and let me know! We'll try to work it out.

2. My sister kindly agreed to write a guest post about the week she just spent with my kids. I can't wait to read it ... I haven't seen it yet, but I should get it from her over the weekend and hope to post it Monday or Tuesday. Something for us all to look forward to! (NO PRESSURE, Sarah Ellen.)

3. It seems like everyone likes the new Commenting system. I've definitely had a few people comment who've never commented before, and I like that. Question: I see that my reply comments are posting to the blog, but when I respond to your comment, does it also send you an email copy of it? I tried to test it on myself but it didn't work, I assume because it knew it was me.

I won't be posting over the weekend since I'll be busy with The Stalkers The Probably Perfectly Lovely People I've Never Met, so I wanted to go ahead and share with you some of the gems I've enjoyed lately.

I'd really just like to meet this guy, maybe from the vantage point of a hot air balloon:

I'd also really like to meet THIS guy, but also from a safe distance. Actually, what I'd like to do is see him attack someone, watching safely from behind the door:

There are people at my office who park like this. And wish I had the guts to do this to them:

This is what all word problems sound like to me ... like there's no right answer:

Which is precisely why THIS is the type of answer I would attempt to give:

I feel this way about hand sanitizer, too:

And last but not least, this one's for Jamie. In general, I'm sure she frowns on those sticker sets that signify how many and what genders of people are in your family. But this one, THIS ONE, she might actually be okay with:
