Apparently I have no shame

When I wrote this post a couple of days ago about things that remind me of my childhood, my sister called me out in the Comments: "It's not really fair to write about Sun-In without also giving your readers a picture of you to show how beautifully you used it."

So, you know. I found my 1991 scrapbook and forced myself to take two pictures of photos in the book for you. And ACTUALLY, this is a two-fer, because these pictures showcase my hair with Sun-In's coppery goodness and ALSO side-swept up in a teal banana clip.

I know, right? You didn't think your Friday could get any better. Quite frankly, it's a miracle that pile of fluff on the left side of my head didn't light right up, being so close to those candles and all.

But wait. There's one more. This one proves that -- although I thought it was AWESOME, not everyone was on the Sun-In/banana clip bandwagon.

My friend Leslie looks downright NORMAL. No makeup, no hair color. Still beautiful. Please note that my sister and I are both wearing layered T-shirts, although she kicked it up a notch with the rolled sleeves. I went more organic with my approach, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I was also sporting layered socks that matched my teal T-shirt, teal banana clip, teal mascara and teal Liz Claiborne purse.

One final note: Dear Lord, thank you for inventing eyebrow waxing. Love, Katherine.
