Please join me as we soar to new heights of random

1. Father's Day is coming up on June 20th. I'd love to tell you I have some great gift recommendations for you, but I don't. However, some handy Web sites do. In case you're running low on ideas, these sites have special Father's Day pages set up with gifts at all different price points (I'm not compensated for linking):
2. I am always thankful when the boys throw their disposable plates in the trash can after supper. (We don't use them every night, just on the nights when I can't fit another dish in the dishwasher until I unload it.) However, it is not QUITE as helpful when they throw their plate away like so:

It is literally taunting me to try to push it all the way in without a blueberry hitting the floor. In this particular instance last night, Grayson was kind enough to pull the plate back out of the trash can and eat the blueberries. You all, we are klassy in these parts.

3. Last night Josh Malina -- one of the three funniest people on Twitter -- Tweeted about a really cool Web site. It's so cool I feel compelled to share it with you: TigerTag.com. TigerTag reunites people with their lost valuables by harnessing the power of goodwill. Owners affix a unique TigerTag to their valuables, then register their items at TigerTag.com. If an item is lost, the finder goes to TigerTag.com and enters the unique ID of the item, triggering the reuniting process. And it's virtually free ... all you pay is a small S&H fee. (I think it's $1.99 for a sheet of 14 tags.) Come to think of it, THIS would be a great Father's Day gift, too, if you have a dad who's ever lost his Blackberry, camera or wallet.

4. I have an uncanny ability to attain my Highest Score Ever on Facebook's Bejeweled Blitz one minute, only to crash and burn the next minute with the possible Lowest Score in History by Anyone, Anywhere. Seriously, this happens regularly. I can play two rounds of Bejeweled Blitz in the time it takes one picture to upload to Blogger, so by all rights I should be a freaking Bejeweled Blitz professional by now, or at a minimum a more consistent player.

5. I visit at least five new-to-me blogs every week, because I am convinced that I am missing some that I would absolutely love, if only I knew that they exist. I have visited too many to count that are really popular, only to find that I don't care for them. But every once in a while I stumble onto one that I immediately want to read down to the very last drop, and I've found two of those recently: Bye Bye, Pie and Hollywood Housewife. I've been enjoying them immensely lately.

And that concludes the random for today. I wish I had more for you, but I used up every last bit of my energy last night watching So You Think You Can Dance auditions. Do you have any idea how exhausting it is to watch 50 hopefuls alternately blow your socks off with their talent and blow your mind with their awfulness? It completely drained me last night.

Just so you know, you aren't the only one that can do great on bejewled blitz and then stink it up. It made me feel better to know that I'm not the only one.

Nikki, I'm so glad to hear that! And Sunday night must be a popular night to play, because the server is down right now, right when I want to play while my pictures upload to the blog. Arrrggghhh.
