Everyone's story is different

Design Mom is expecting a baby (her sixth, I think), and she's been posting lots of pregnancy and delivery stories from moms all over the world recently.

Yesterday two of the women's stories that she highlighted rocked my world.

Sara Miller delivered her baby in a car, and it's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time, especially toward the end. OH MY WORD, SHE DELIVERED HER BABY IN A FORD TAURUS. You might be a redneck if.

On the other end of the spectrum, Kelle delivered a baby with Down Syndrome, and it changed her forever. Her story is raw, honest, hard to read ... but absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't change a word of it.

Enjoy.

Hi, Katherine. Thanks for the link to my birth story. You hit the nail on the head - there are so many times I've asked myself how much more white trash could it get than having your baby in the car! But I guess the baby had other ideas. :) Great to be introduced to your blog.

Oh, my goodness. Thanks for a great post. Great spin on what I am sure was a scary night. The line about the carseat was the best!

Considering I just birthed Claire au-natural three days ago (yeah, I went and worked out at the Y that morning, thought "maybe" my husband should drive me to be checked out at the hospital by lunch, and proceeded to deliver her 26 min later) I about peed my pants reading Sara's story.

Second thought: I shouldn't lie to someone I don't know. I totally peed my pants reading Sara's story.

Thanks for the laugh!
