His ship(ment) has come in

Every year for each boy's birthday, they get to wear a special shirt to their party and to school the first day after their party.

Exhibit A (Nick):

Exhibit B (Nick):

Exhibit C (Nathaniel):

Exhibit D (Nathaniel):

It's a tradition I started when Nathaniel turned 1, and they get SO excited every year when we whip out the shirts. The company I've always ordered them from stops making them at age 6, so this year I ordered one from
Smitten & Co. (I've wanted to order from Smitten for the last year, but I already had the shirts through age 6, so I had to wait. AREN'T I THE VERY MODEL OF THRIFTINESS?)

Anyway, Nathaniel's shirt just arrived, and it's adorable.

His face just lit up when he saw it.

And here's one of the things I love most about buying from etsy sellers:

A personal note from the seller, Tara, was enclosed with the shirt. What a sweetie!

And in case you were wondering at all, here are a few of her other adorable designs that I would buy from Tara if I needed them ... for a little girl's birthday:

For Jake:

For a little girl to wear in December:

For me to wear in December:

For the boys to wear in December and on Christmas morning:

For the boys to wear every day:

For a little girl to wear every day:

Seriously, I think I could just buy one of everything in the shop.

How cute. I love that idea. Where were you 6 years ago when my first had his first birthday? :) I love the 'R' too.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for the nice compliment. Your boys are beautiful or should I say handsome! I do the same thing with my boys shirts on their birthdays. One of your boys also has the same name as my son. Both of my boys' names start with an "N" so I refer to them by the 2nd letter of their names. At home, I'm forever calling them by the wrong name. Someone should have told me that before I decided on the same letter! lol Sounds cute anyway. Have a great weekend!

At first I thought you were just choosing designs because I know you like the names "Finn" and "Piper." And then I saw the one for "Jessup," and I was like, "oh, nevermind, she must just like the designs."

They are so cute, too bad my children are too old to want to wear things like that.

Ok, you just made my rainy and cold Sunday afternoon a WHOLE LOT BETTER! I didn't deserve any of the compliments you gave, but you sure are sweet for saying them! I'm so glad I could be in on the tradition. Have a great week...looks like you have a lot to be thankful for! :)

Oh, and I have a family blog too...
