Some days you feel like a Duggar

Sometimes -- mainly when I'm folding laundry or putting away the groceries -- I feel like we're a family with 18 children instead of just three.

For example, this fresh fruit lasted us four days. Monday through Thursday.

Granted, I have to eat three pieces of fruit a day on Jenny Craig, so I'm responsible for the disappearance of a lot of the fruit.

But the boys eat it with every meal, too. Last night they ate five kiwis between the three of them. FIVE.

Oh, and I'm conducting an experiment based on your recommendation that I snip my bananas at the top so that they'll last longer. So far, so good. (I hadn't done it when I took these pictures.) I'll let you know how it goes.

OK, off to begin the yard sale! Hoping for no rain ...

Hope the banana trick works for you. We go through that much fruit too. It's crazy. And expensive.

This is why I buy fruit in bulk at Costco....my kids are (in their words) fruitaholics!

I keep meaning to try the banana trick, too. Let us know how it goes!

P.S. I had a dream where we finally meet....in the new Target! Ha!

Did I miss something? What's the banana trick?

Laura, A couple of people said in the Comments of my post about brown spots on bananas (last week) that I should cut them apart at the top to keep them from turning brown. It seems to be working! MAGIC.
