This way ---> to the restroom

You may have figured this out by now, but during the times that I'm not over at the new house working on projects, I'm often tweaking our current house to make it more attractive to prospective buyers.

Some of the things, I've been wanting to do for years -- so it kills me to do them right before we move out. (Like turning the dining room back into a dining room. And adding granite countertops to our master bathroom, which we just did a few weeks ago.)

The one I'm sharing with you today is just fun AND I'm going to duplicate it at the new house, so YEA for that! No sadness.

In our current house, anytime anyone asks to use the restroom, they ask, "Which door?" For 15 years I've been saying, "First door on the left."

NO MORE, INTERNET. NO MORE.

I was inspired by Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick to put a sign on our powder-room door so there would be no more confusion, and I'm smitten.

She went with separate men's and women's signs, and I went with a single.

When I went looking for signs, I found hundreds of options, but I ended up going with a restaurant-supply store. My sign was only $5.99. SCORE.

You can get them in all different languages, colors, designs ... you could get really creative with it if you wanted to. You could also create something similar in vinyl if you have a Silhouette or Cricut, I imagine.

It makes me happy. And you WILL be seeing this again, but next time on a grey door in our new house. Very soon.
