Key words

Amelia is 18 months old, but she still only says about seven words. Who needs to talk when you have three older brothers who anticipate your every. stinking. thought.

She signs "eat," "more" and "all done" -- all of which have to do with food. And she says "mama," "dada," "ball," "more," "cracker," "cookie," and "patty."

Do you know what a "patty" is? It's not a person. It's her favorite treat ... and I gave her one the other day as a reward for walking down the hall about 10 times in a row so I could take pictures for you guys.

Newsflash: It's hard to say no to this face and those dimpled knuckles. And how can I blame her for falling in love with York Peppermint Patties? I CANNOT. When she wants one, you should hear her yell "PATTY!" I bet if Archie Bunker ever wanted one, it's exactly how he would have yelled at Edith to bring him one.

But when those cheeks are full of patty, there's just nothing cuter.

For now, she can pretty much have as many as she wants.
