Monday is the day when you take a look at a child you see every single day and realize with a start that he's grown two inches since you saw him four minutes ago.
The day when you stop worrying about a bull shark ripping one of his legs off his body and just let him BE in the ocean.
The day when that kind of ridiculous thinking lasts for two minutes, and then you're right back to worrying about the sharks again.

The day when every wave that breaks over your head sends a jolt of adrenaline through your body and a plasters a grin on your face.
Monday is the day when daddies aren't too sore to get out there and battle the waves themselves.
The day when they put their heads down and ride all the way in.
Monday is the day when you still weigh what you weighed before you left for vacation and you say GIT. IN. MAH. BELLY.
And then you wash that course down with some yummy pasta.
