Semantics

The other day Nathaniel came home with a note from school. It's the first time it's happened this year, and to be honest, I was pretty surprised he'd been called out for something behavioral.

I read the note (while he furiously defended the behavior detailed within):

Oops! I broke one of the three Bs! I was not being respectful when I was talking to Abood on the carpet. Next time I will not talk to Abood on the carpet. Most likely.

"MOST LIKELY."  Heh heh.

So funny! I have a love/hate relationship with those form notes from school. While I don't enjoy receiving them, it's always funny to see what the kids come up with! Henry (when he was in first grade) had to write one where he promised that he would refrain from "... calling Julietta a butt." but he spelled it "but" which made the sentiment very hard to take seriously!

LOL! At least he was being honest.

So funny. When I was about 8 & my brother 12, I smacked the heck out of him because he kept changing the TV channel. Mother made me apologize. "I'm sorry". "Not really". She made me tell him (several times) that I was sorry until she was laughing too hard to make me say it again. Oh, to be young and get away with being that honest.

That is awesome.

Love it!! I also love that the "most likely" seems to be an afterthought...like I decided later that he probably should be honest in his description.
