Uncomfortable truths, vol. 5

1. Wednesday is always the longest day of the week for me. This is because all day Tuesday (every week), I think it's Wednesday. And then Wednesday is like Groundhog Day. By the time Thursday hits, I feel like it's been 10 days since I had a weekend.

2. Our card table chairs are 20 times more comfortable than our breakfast table chairs. Ironic, because they cost 1/100th as much.

3. I know every word, grunt, moan and inspired key change in more Britney, NSync and Backstreet Boys songs than you can count on your fingers and toes. You can try to deny it, but those people sing some catchy tunes.

4. Recently I got a new computer monitor at work. I set it up myself, it worked fine, and I got only slightly sweaty while connecting it. But I will say this, and I make no apologies for it: Sometimes it is just easier to ask a man to do something.

5. I work in a building that has an ATM right there in it. But I can go DAYS ON END needing cash and not be able to make time in my day to go get it. I will literally wait until the last second before I walk out of the building for a four-day trip to go get that cash. Why I persist in this behavior is one of the great mysteries of my life.

6. And while I'm on the subject of ATMs, does it seem to you like it should be easier to get cash out of them? This may sound unreasonable, because ATMs are really sort of space-age, right? But I always stand there and tap my foot and think, "You're KIDDING. I have to put in ANOTHER set of numbers? Just give me the cash already. Ten seconds is too long."

7. There is not a doubt in my mind that I could eat an entire bag of mini-Butterfingers or regular Reese's Cups in one sitting. As a matter of fact, I might be able to eat a bag of each. Could I do the same with broccoli? Or cantaloupe? NO.

#7 - I thought that was normal! I particularly enjoyed Butterfingers during Halloween this year.

My uncomfortable truth: I've never used an ATM; yes, to Butterfingers and cantaloup, and cream cheese; crawling under the desk, connecting the computer was my job, but I messed up my knee the last time. It was easier to do myself than ask hubby.
My biggest uncomfortable truth: I wish I had another week to get ready for tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your clan.

#4. Yes, yes it is sometimes easier. A LOT easier.

#7. I couldn't do it with Reese's or Butterfinger, but I'll bet you all the money in my checking account that I could eat a dozen Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts in one sitting. Scary, but sadly true.

Beckie, I cannot BELIEVE you've never used an ATM! Wow. And I have to say, I couldn't eat cream cheese with a spoon, but I love it in almost any recipe. :)

Paige, I'm right there with you on the Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
