Monday-morning survey

Those of you who have blogs know that it's really time-consuming to maintain them and post something on a regular basis. I love using mine as a creative outlet, and my extended family is practically in an unhealthy codependent relationship with it ... they really need a Grass Stains IV drip. [Flattered.]

There've been very few days over the last 18 months that I haven't posted something of some sort, but that's predominantly because I love to read something from my favorite bloggers every day, so I feel like I should be offering that to my loyal readers, too.

Case in point: when we got to Disney World and I thought I wasn't going to be able to post all week, I nearly popped a gasket. (Narcissist much?)

Then it occurred to me: I don't do this full-time so it's sort of a random brain dump, I'm a terrible self-editor and therefore usually end up with 2,000-word posts (plus photos), and it's entirely possible that the saying Less is More COULD be rooted in truth. So, the question:

Since I am not a family member or a friend, just someone who stumbled upon your blog from Patrice's,
I have no vote. My own blog gets updated when I feel so moved. SInce photography is not one of my passions, I have few photos. I do enjoy your sense of humor & style of writing. I continue to stop in & read because it usually puts a smile on my face & to my day.

As a young mother, you have lots to experience by the time you get to my age! There are days that I want to reach through the monitor & take the pacifier away, but I am neither his mother or any maternal figure in Jake's life, so I sit quietly thinking, "oh, he won't have it when he's in highschool".

Your family comes first, so the blog can be whatever you need it to be! Enjoy! Come by my blog & read sometime.

Beckie, I appreciate the input! I feel you about the paci. We took it away from our two older boys when they turned 2, and that's my plan with Jake. He doesn't know it, but he'd better enjoy that paci for the next 60 days! ;)

I enjoy your blog, but the way you have your Comments set up, I'm unable to comment on posts. There's this one particular way that my computer won't recognize, and you and about 20 other blogs I read are set up that way. I don't even know how to tell you to do it differently, but I'm commenting back to you here and hopefully you'll see this!

Thanks, Katherine. Hmmm, I have looked at my Comments settings & I don't really know what to do to make it work differently. I will be the first one to admit, computereze sometimes seems like Greek. If you have any advice, I will certainly take.
There is a blog that I have left comments on before & still can if someone else posts one first.

Hugs to all.

Beckie, the only thing I can think of is if in your Comments section of your Layout of the blog you have it set up for the Comments to be "embedded below your post" instead of "full page" or "pop up window."
