When it's cold and rainy outside ...

One of the best things to do is to gather on the couch in your PJs with Scout and teach Pop how to play MarioKart.

And then rub his face in it when you beat him race, after race, after race. There was much gloating throughout yesterday afternoon. It was all very intense. I lost count of the races after about 112.

Sometimes the excitement of a race caused Jakey to have to stand up and Represent for all the toddlers out there.

And Jake was APPALLED every time he crashed. Have you ever SEEN such indignation?

He looked at me in puzzlement every time it happened. But Scout took it all in stride.

The Wii at Christmas last year was a very good investment. And MarioKart, a gift from my parents for Nick's birthday in October ... a great one, as well. I highly recommend both.

Loved Jakey in this post! What a cutie pie, always trying to run (drive) with the big boys.

P, I don't know if when you click on the pictures on your laptop you can see them larger, but the expression on his face in the picture where he crashed is truly classic. It looks like he's about to drop the F bomb.

We love our wii and Mario Kart. Friends of our recently got Super Mario for their wii and have brought it over twice now. Let me say, that will be under the tree this year for someone in our family. It's been a huge hit both times. :)

Rachel, words are simply ineffective to convey how much love for MarioKart exists in our house. It's on the level with Lego Star Wars, which is saying a lot. Granted, they hardly play Lego Star Wars now, but the first two months we had it, their thumb and forefinger muscles must have tripled in size.
