I am "estate"

I was clicking around the Ethan Allen site yesterday, and I came across a design quiz. Fun! I'm always up for a quiz, and if it involves design, I get even more excited.

I came up as an "estate" gal, after which it let me explore rooms decorated in that style, and it also gave me a "runner-up" style named "global." "Estate" was explained as:

Estate is an eternal American summer. Sporty. Charming. Breezy yet cultivated. A union of antique inspiration and geometric clarity. Civilization in peaceful coexistence with robust outdoor life. In the main house or the guest cottage, effortless elegance.
Neither estate nor global are really "me," but I enjoyed it anyway.

THEN I went back to the beginning and did it again! It brought up different photos from which to choose, and I also came out with a different result ... "loft."

The verdict is in—your style is Loft. Loft is energetic. Fashion-driven. Practical. Materials borrowed from industry, architecture, and nature. Clean shapes. Punches of color. Spontaneous and fresh. Kids and pets? Bring them on.
My runner-up style the second time I took it was "villa." Of the four styles it assigned me, none of them was a perfect fit for me, but then again, there was apparently no category titled "Peanut butter between the couch cushions" or "Teddy Grahams crushed into the rug." They really need to make the categories more far-reaching to be effective in including some of us.

Click here to go to the quiz. Enjoy!

Didn't think that quiz was very thorough--lots of choices, I wanted to pick "neither."

I know! I thought the same thing. Was your result close to your style?

I was "Loft." My favorite piece of furniture that popped up in the quiz was a huge, warm leather chair that looked like you could curl up and read a book. So, I think, in general, my style is "Comfy."

Also, FYI, the word verification that Blogger is about to have me type in for this comment is "publes."
