During supper last night, we had a documentary of some kind on TV in the background. Just after a shot of an Abraham Lincoln statue, Nathaniel said, "THAT is Abraham Lincoln."
Me: [astonished] "That's right! How did you know that?"
Nathaniel: "I learned about him at school."
Grayson: "Do you know anything ELSE about him?"
Nathaniel: "He was the 16th president of the United States. He was born in Kentucky. And at the end of the Civil War, he was shot."
PEOPLE. It is official. My kindergartner has more booksmarts than I do.
