No play equipment needed

The old adage really is true ... the best toys are the ones you get for free. Paper bags, wrapping paper from gifts, Happy Meal prizes ... they seem to hold kids' attention for long periods of time. And yesterday we spent time at a park with lots of play equipment, but I think the boys had more fun today at Aldridge Gardens, just running along the trails, hiding in the bushes and climbing the ginko tree. Admission is free, and if you live in the Birmingham area, I highly recommend it as a great place to while away an afternoon.
